Hair Transplant Scar

Hair Transplant Scar (good vs bad)

As a result of strip surgery (removing a strip of donor hair from the back of a hair transplant patient's head) a hair transplant patient will be left with a scar. The question is, will the scar be a good one or a bad one? A good hair transplant scar is a scar that is pencil thin and easily covered with a small amoutn of hair. A good hair transplant scar will allow the hair transplant patient to cut their hair short (as short as using a no.2 guard on a shaver) without the scar being visible.

An example of a good hair transplant scar can be seen by watching the end of this Hasson and Wong video. Click here to view

An example of a bad hair transplant scar is as follows:

Fortunately for this patient, they located Dr. Robert Jones who was able to successfully repair the scar

Although there are good surgeons out there that can repair scars, the best scenario for any hair transplant patient, would be to have a proper hair transplant to begin with, using modern hair transplant techniques.

Remember to always select an experienced hair transplant surgeon!
